It might seem like that from time to time, but don’t get to accustomed to more posts rather than less. Except for my pre-scheduled guests and Chiseled in Rock Tuesday, which will continue, I’m going to go with the flow, at least for the summer.
What I’m Reading
I just started Love and Darker Passions (on my Kindle). This is a collection of short stories, some by authors I know through blogging connections.
I finished You Came Back by Christopher Coake last night and thought it was an excellent book. It’s well written, and I liked the ending which was not predictable.
Next on my list is a YA book, Surviving the Angel of Death: The True Story of a Mengele Twin in Auschwitz.
What are you reading?
Peg Brantley, author of Red Tide, will be my guest tomorrow and she’s giving away a copy of her book. All you’ll need to do to enter is leave a comment on Peg’s guest post tomorrow or Friday.
Three Authors, Three Questions on Chiseled in Rock Blog
Did you see the great guests I featured yesterday at Chiseled in Rock? Rebecca Cantrell, Andrew Gross, and Sophie Littlefield were kind enough to participate in the Q&A.
What I’m Doing Today
Believe it or not, I will be writing today. I’m finally getting back to my NaNoWriMo novel and hope to add two new chapters.
That’s in addition to grocery shopping, pulling weeds, pre-scheduling guest blog posts, manuscript proofreading, making homemade dark cherry frozen yogurt, and working on interview questions for future blog guests….
Writing and Receiving Real Letters (remember snail mail?)
My dear long-time friend in Indiana and I have begun to communicate with letters, the kind you put real stamps on and drop in a mailbox. We even stopped connecting by e-mail and on Facebook. When I recently sent dear friend a book, she even acknowledged receipt with a cute post card.
If you have a good friend in another part of the country, I wish you’d give old-fashioned letters and packages a try. And hand write your letters instead of typing them. You’ll be surprised at how much you can think of to write about and how much you enjoy receiving a handwritten reply.
Hi Ho, Hi Ho
Yes, it’s off to work I go…even though I’ll be right here in the same chair at the same computer where I write my blog posts. Don’t forget to join us tomorrow and enter the giveaway for a copy of Peg Brantley’s Red Tide.
