I put out a call for guest bloggers among the members of the Rocky Mountain Mystery Writers of America chapter and the response has been excellent. We’ll have quite a few mystery and thriller authors making an appearance in January, February, and March. If you love the genre, keep your eye on my growing list of 2015 guests in the right sidebar. As soon as we settle on the dates, I’ll add them to the list.
Once I have the RMMWA folks scheduled, I’ll head for the Sisters in Crime group and see who else I can recruit.
Meanwhile, I’m filling in my schedule with writerly activities. I’m revising my current suspense novel in the works. I’m working on the schedules for this blog and the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers blog.
I also signed up to attend the Friday sessions and banquet of the Northern Colorado Writers Conference March 27th. How could you not want to attend a conference with a teaser like this?
I wish I could also attend the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Retreat in Estes Park, Colorado, March 11-15. Unfortunately, with preparation for that April (I hope) knee surgery, the NCW Conference, and a trip to see my mom, the retreat is not in the cards for me this year. You might want to check it out though. It’s going to be an incredible opportunity to focus on writing, sharing energy with other writers, and meeting a couple of publishing professionals.
This week, however, is the last big lazy goof off week in my schedule. I’m going to spend a lot of time reading. Today I’ll finish the excellent Colorado Book Award winning fantasy novel Song of the Beast by Carol Berg. Then I need to start through the stacks and shelves and the Kindle list and decide what to read next. This may be the most difficult decision I have to make this week.
We spend New Year’s Eve at home watching the events on television. It’s very cold and snowy here, so even though there are lots of downtown activities including fireworks, we prefer staying in where it’s cozy and comfy.
I hope your week is calm and joyful, that you have a wonderful New Year’s Eve and an outstanding 2015.
