The Prairie Grass Murders Celebration and Giveaway

December 12, 2010 By: Patricia

I’m so excited to have The Prairie Grass Murders back in circulation, this time as an ebook priced at $3.99. Available for the Kindle at amazon.com’s Kindle Store, and for Nook from the Barnes & Noble NookBooks store, The Prairie Grass Murders is the first book in the Sylvia and Willie mystery series. It is also available as an audiobook from Books in Motion and most online audio booksellers.

The second book in the series, The Desert Hedge Murders, is currently available in hardcover from most online sellers, including amazon.com, and as a mass market paperback from Harlequin Worldwide mystery.

To celebrate this transition into ebooks, I’m giving away one $25.00 e-mail gift card from either amazon.com or Barnes & Noble. The winner gets to choose.

To qualify, leave a comment on THIS BLOG POST anytime between today and Friday, December 17th, 2010 at midnight U.S. Mountain Time. Make sure you have a contact e-mail address in your profile, or in the body of the comment. On Saturday, December 18th, I’ll make a selection using my usual scientific method of numbering the entries, throwing all the numbers in my little plastic container, shaking it up, and drawing a winner.

I was going to say that it seems time for me to buy an e-reader but then I saw that comment of yours on an e-reader application for the computer. May be a good way to check it out before actually investing in one.

And isn’t it great to have old books out in new formats?

Wish I had an eReader. Ooh, just noticed your last comment that you can get an eReading app for your computer. I’ll have to think about that. Am I ready to sit and read a book on my computer when I spend so much time on the computer already? Hmmm.

    Love the cover, Patricia.

Thanks for entering, everyone, and feel free to spread the word if you don’t mind sharing.

Sonia — I did post about the e-book adventure at The Blood-Red Pencil. Truth is, I hired someone to do my cover art, and I hired someone else to do the formatting for me for both editions. The actual uploading part was pretty easy.

Jan — did you know you can download a free Kindle or Nook app for your computer? Anyone can buy and read e-books, even if they don’t buy the e-reader.

How exciting, Pat! I think this will get the book out to a much wider audience. I’m finding that I don’t mind reading ebooks. I thought I would, being of a traditional bent, but I really like reading on my Nook and especially on my new iPod, which has a small screen, but it really is easy to read on it. How amazing technology is!!

Hope you’re having a good Sunday.
