Are You Going to Attend the Northern Colorado Writers Conference?

The Northern Colorado Writers Conference has been scheduled for March 11-12 at the Hilton (near the Colorado State University campus) in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Here are all the reasons I can think of why you should go:

1. Colorado is great.
2. Fort Collins is great.
3. Northern Colorado Writers is great.
4. And the conference just keeps getting better every year.

Agents and editors will be taking pitches. This year we are fortunate to have Rachelle Gardner of Wordserve Literary, Kelly Sonnack from Andrea Brown Agency, and Michael Ebeling and Kristina Holmes from Ebeling Associates. Editors will be announced soon.

The lineup of guest speakers and workshop presenters is available on the main conference page. The tentative conference schedule, designed to educate and motivate writers at all levels, has also been posted.

  1. Heidi, funny how that works. And it’s not much better for fiction writers. We spend so much on book promotion that it’s hard to scrape up the conference funds. It’s networking, though, and an opportunity to pitch to editors or agents, and education, and tax deductible…so I do it anyway.

  2. I attended the first two NoCo Writers Conferences and they were great.

    I wish there was a scholarship fund or some other way to pay for these events! As a non-fiction, freelance writer it’s very difficult to scrapd together the funds for writers conferences.

    Since I’ve become a full-time writer I can no longer afford conferences. 🙁

    When I was a part-time writer and part-time office manager (laid off in 2008) I could afford the.

    That’s what I call irony.

  6. I’m attending the San Diego State University writers conference January 28-30, with agents and editors. Kelly Sonnack is there too. I’ve signed up with one editor and two agents. You’re only allowed 3 appointments.

  16. Hi Karen, I’m also cutting back on conferences and conventions this year…but I never can resist the two great writing conferences so close to home.

    Yes, Terry, the date was changed specifically so it would no longer conflict with LLC. Hope you can make it.
