The Mediterranean would be great, Ann. I spent two years there in the South of France and we only had snow once. It melted right away (but not before I had a chance to watch the locals try to drive uphill on slick roads…very entertaining).
Oh, wow! That is a gorgeous photograph, as long as one is inside and not outside in it. Well, if I were a child again…
We got a snowstorm for one day, as I just posted on my blog (among other things). I am just not a snow person anymore. Snow isn’t good for wheelchairs. Eric, I took the trash cans out to the street this morning and found the lids were frozen shut…and the gate latch was frozen too. Now that’s just too cold.

Dorte, I’ll bet your garden was prettier than mine before the snows came. I’ve neglected mine for two straight years now.
Margot and L.G. — It was so quiet the morning I took this photo (Wed, Oct. 26th) that we could only hear the sound of cracking branches under the heavy wet snow. I waded out and shook the snow off this little tree to save its shape, but got most of the snow down my neck. Our second snow arrived yesterday, and this morning the air was so frosty it looked like frozen fog.
It looks so beautiful! I always think it is lovely (here in western PA) until about the end of January…
More and more I find myself saying that I understand why retirees move south 😉

Brrr is right. Even though the streets are clear, 20 degrees was way too cold for me to ride my motorcycle to work. Beautiful picture though.

That’s a much prettier photo than the one I used to express my feelings about this last storm. 🙂
