The Northern Colorado Writers Conference is scheduled for March 30-31, 2012 at the Hilton in Fort Collins.
“Robert Frost wrote, ‘Two roads diverged in a wood, and I– I took the one less traveled by, And that made all the difference.’
And that is what the theme of the 2012 conference is all about: Take the Road Less Traveled. Take risks with your writing; find that path that is unique to you. Writing is an adventure with lots of ups and downs and forks in the road, but in the end, it is a journey to be enjoyed.”
The faculty and speakers include mystery authors Sandi Ault, Bonnie Ramthun, and Cricket McRae; children’s author Debbie Dadey; western romance author Joanne Kennedy; nonfiction authors Jim Davidson, Kevin Vaughan, and Susan Skog. Bonnie Ramthun also writes YA novels.
Agents and editors will appear on panels and listen to author pitches, and they are also available to chat during scheduled social hours.
The lineup of workshops and panels is intended to appeal to fiction and nonfiction writers in many genres and at all levels of writing.
You’ll come away from the conference motivated and inspired…and you might even win a great door prize. Since Northern Colorado Writers is partnering with Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers this year, one lucky person will win a registration to the RMFW Colorado Gold Conference in September. And just so you’re forewarned, you must be present at the drawing to win.
I hope you’ll join us.

Looks like a fun conference. I’m staying close to home and doing the Pikes Peak Writers Conference, but hear many many great things about the Northern Colorado Writes Conference. One day! I think I’ll enter the essay contest again. It gives me a deadline.

Wish I could–but they’ve scheduled it against Left Coast Crime, and I was committed to that a good while back.
Enjoy!

Aw, I’d love to attend a conference like that. Might be a tad far for me since I currently live in Australia.
