This week I’m having a bit of extra fun. Today, for instance, I’m a guest at Stephen Tremp’s blog where I’m explaining how a writer with loner tendencies became such a big supporter of writers’ organizations. Considering I was terrified to talk to anyone the first couple of times I attended a conference or convention, I could almost be called a (writerly) social butterfly these days. Please come over and hear my story, especially if you’re a writer with loner tendencies.

As much as I like to just stay home these days, sometimes it’s a good idea and be in touch with real live people.
Good post on Stephen’s site.

Yes, Steve, Diane is right. You are a silly goose.
Lizy, sometimes it’s hard for me to strike a balance. I love hiding out alone to write, but I also love getting together with writer friends.
Thanks, Julie.

Well, I like to be left alone to get on with writing, but after a while I crave company, so that puts me somewhere in the middle! I’ll check out your story and see whether we’re at all alike.
