Teresa Funke is the owner of Teresa Funke and Company and Victory House Press and the award-winning author of six novels for adults and children based on true stories from WWII. I love the book series for kids, but my favorite book by Teresa is Dancing in Combat Boots, stories of women and their lives during World War II.
A resident of Northern Colorado and a member of our local Northern Colorado Writers as well as Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, she is also a nationwide speaker offering keynotes and presentations and a popular writer’s coach and idea development coach. Her You Tube series for writers includes ten more videos that educate and motivate. If you’re headed for Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Colorado Gold Conference this coming weekend, you might enjoy this one called How to Pitch to Editors and Agents at Conferences.

I had the opportunity to sit next to Teresa at a writer’s group Christmas dinner a few years ago. Talk about a nice lady! After we discussed how to get short stories published, I went home and made a serious effort to have a short story published the next year. Thanks in part to the advice Teresa gave me, I had 14 stories published. Teresa is a great writer and very smart when it comes to publishing.
