The finalists in Northern Colorado Writers’ Top of the Mountain Book Award have been announced.
Anne Randolph– Denver, CO
The Sweet Not Enough
Jerry Eckert- Vail, AZ
Fire in the Grass
Colleen M. Story– Idaho Falls, ID
The Beached Ones
Barbara Bamberger Scott- Mount Airy, NC
Cante Hondo
Chuck Harrelson- Fort Collins, CO
The Rax
The Top of the Mountain Award was open to both published and unpublished authors this year.
For the unpublished writers among you who’d love to enter a contest with your own manuscript, The Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Colorado Gold Contest will begin taking submissions on April 1st! We’ll post more about that later.

Meet Patricia

I read, I write, I blog, and sometimes I do the laundry and cook. My 2014 novel, Dead Wrong, was a finalist in the thriller category of the 2015 Colorado Book Awards. Wishing Caswell Dead (Five Star/Cengage, December 20, 2017) is a historical mystery set in 1830s Illinois in the fictitious Village of Sangamon. The novel was a finalist for the 2018 Colorado Book Awards for General Fiction. Read More…
