Here’s a photo of a sunset in east central Illinois, taken from my aunt’s back yard just a little over a week ago. All of the photos I took were a little “soft” because I was trying to use the sunset setting and I guess I needed a tripod to keep the camera still enough for a sharp, clear shot. Live and learn. I like this one anyway.

I headed for the mountains yesterday for a long weekend writers retreat. I’m supposed to focus on writing, of course, but I’m taking a camera because we’ll be in Estes Park, Colorado, just outside the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. This time of year we might see elk or other mountain critters wandering around. I want to be prepared.
