If you don’t already know about the Blood-Red Pencil blog, I want to clue you in because it’s one of the best writing and editing resources on the web.
The BRP team is a great mix of authors and editors and author/editors willing to share their knowledge of writing, motivate, inspire, and coolest of all, answer your questions.
Back when I was part of the BRP team, I wrote a series on self-editing that was featured again on the blog in December. Called Finding Tips on Self-Editing on the Blood-Red Pencil, the December post includes the links to each post in my series as well as other helpful links. If you’re in that self-editing phase of your own novel, you might want to see if there’s anything there that might help.
The Blood-Red Pencil offers so much more. Search on any writing-related topic you can think of and you’ll find posts full of information and instruction. You can sign up for email notices of new posts.

Oh, Blood Red Pencil is a terrific blog, Pat! I’m so glad you spotlighted it today, because I think it ought to get more attention than it does. Some great posts there.

Sometimes I head over there and do a search on just one topic, then read the posts I’ve missed. There’s so much great content.

I’ll see if we have it listed at the IWSG site!

I’m sure the Blood-Red Pencil team would appreciate that!
