I’ve been a truly delinquent blogger this week. I’m not sure where the week went, but I know I was very, very busy while it zoomed by. Summer tends to be like that for most of us, so I’m sure you understand.
Squeezing in a little time for reading each day is a priority. The current read is Bones and Roses by Eileen Goudge. It has a nice hook at the beginning, an interesting protagonist, and a compelling mystery.
I have something new on my blog this Thursday. My guest is local author/essayist/blogger Katherine Valdez who has been experimenting with ten-second movie reviews. I love that idea, especially when the reviews are pithy and personalized to the reviewer. I think Katherine’s post is entertaining and informative. I hope you like it too.
I have open spots for guests in late August, in September, and beyond. If anyone is interested in one of my Thursday guest spots, you can let me know by email or in a comment below.
Now I’m off to schedule appointments for estimates from the tree guy, the handy man, the lawn guy…..and prepare my submission for my critique group. So much to do, so little time.

It’s amazing, isn’t it, Pat, how quickly time gets away? I know it does for me, too. Before you know it, a whole month goes by… Looking forward to your guest tomorrow.

That time thing is crazy, Margot.

Summer is flying by. Quick, snarky movie reviews sounds like fun.

Alex does some of those on his blog too. I love that kind of movie review.
