Please stop by Chuck Wendig’s Terribleminds blog and read A Cooling Mist Of NaNoWriMo-Flavored Novel Writing Advice
Especially pay attention to the part about not chewing your hands off.
I finally picked a title for my NaNoWriMo project and entered it on the NaNo site. I added some things to my bio (I’m PattyPetunia by the way if you want to connect with me there). I updated my author photo. And I’m working on a sketchy outline this time to hopefully keep me focused.
It was rather revealing to discover that 2011 was the only time I’ve actually finished 50,000 words. I think I’ve signed up at least two others times and have some words on paper to show for the attempt but pooped out mid-month.
This time I want my 50,000 or more.
If you’re signed up, or thinking about taking a chance this year, go read Chuck Wendig’s blog post. You might be inspired….or perhaps you’ll throw in the towel beforeĀ you even start. Either way, it will be Chuck’s fault, not mine.
I’m going for it.

I’ll look you up next time I’m on the NaNo site. š

I hope you hit your mark. One of these years I’m going to join in the fun.

I think it’s great that you’ve singed up for NaNoWriMo. I haven’t, because I’ve got other things going on this month. But still, I love the idea, and I hope you meet your goals.
