CSU Annual Flower Trial Garden 2010 Part II

July 17, 2010 By: Patricia

The website for the Annual Flower Trial Garden at Colorado State University has a lot of information about the flowers, the trials, and a nice slide show of photos, including an aerial shot that will identify where the landmarks in my pictures are located.

For our own private tour, we’re going for color today, so let’s get started. There are plants in pots at the north end of the gardens:

There are shades of red and pink:

And a bit of purple and lavender:

Did I tell you I was partial to red?

I mean, I like red a lot:

But I like the blues and purples as well:

The photos in Part III will be more about shape and texture and design. Hope to see you here tomorrow.

My wife and kids would love this event. We have a few similar places around here. One is a Japanese Gardens that’s fun to stroll through. Oh, and I got the HTML thing for my name fixed. Thanks for the heads up.

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for dropping by to check out the photos. I have a few more tomorrow, and will then get back to a few normal posts.

I’m playing hooky the rest of today and tomorrow morning while my cousin and I enjoy a girl’s weekend out. We’re starting with lunch out, then enjoying a good visit and maybe a DVD, then off to the dinner theater to see Defending the Caveman. We might even hit the Sunday brunch buffet at a nearby restaurant before she heads back to Denver tomorrow. I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon and will try to get caught up on my blog visits. See you then.

I bet that’s nice in Colorado weather – we’d melt from the humidity here.
