Taking the Day Off (from Blogging)

November 9, 2010 By: Patricia

I wish I could tell you I’m doing something exotic like taking a hot air balloon ride or spending the day in a haunted house.

But no.

I’m going to work more on the “clear out clutter and clean up project” I started in my house on Friday. I accomplished a lot, but still have a ways to go. Today I’m bagging lots of stuff for Goodwill, taking two boxes of books to the Northern Colorado Writers studio, moving pieces of furniture around the house so I have a cozy reading nook in almost every room, and generally putting more order into my life and my house.

I’m not quite sure where this burst of energy came from, but I’m going to take full advantage of it while it’s here.

I’ll be back tomorrow with some good stuff on my Wednesday Scramble.

Sounds like a great plan to me. Debunking the Clutter. When you get finished with your house would like to pop over to mine!! Could use some serious Debunking!

Have fun de-cluttering! That’s my favourite activity.

Isn’t it interesting that some of us get our cleaning and de-cluttering urge in the spring and others in the fall?

I’m just hoping I get everything done before my body screeches, “Stop!” So with that in mind, I’m heading back to work.

Note to Mary: That would be fun. Maybe I could go on a house cleaning tour instead of a book tour.

Pat, you and I are on the same wavelength. We took 5 boxes of books to Goodwill. Now I have some empty space on my bookshelves for more books!! We’re also selling several pieces of furniture and generally de-cluttering to make more space. It feels so good.

Patricia, when you’re done, if you find more energy after your house is done, you are welcome to come and do mine. (I’ll e-mail the address.) ;D

Oh, how I wish I had your burst of energy. I love the idea of having a cozy reading nook in almost every room of the house. Have a fun day.

Hey Patricia – I’m so with you. Yesterday I spent five hours cleaning out the furnace room – which is where we stack boxes of old prom dresses and out of date envelopes and collections of stuffed animals and…well you know, I’m sure. It is clean! I could have a party in there – a ball even. My car is full of stuff for the Sally Ann and there are three or four HUGE garbage bags waiting for tomorrow. And I wrote too! The November scourge – guess we’re getting ready to find the Christmas decorations – yeah, I know – I’m a Buddhist but I still get caught up in the glitter parade.
Have a good and productive day.
