We’ve posted the upcoming events today at the RMFW Blog. There’s a writing retreat in March in Golden, CO, with flexible attendance options, two upcoming online classes, and free programs for the Front Range (Lakewood) and Western Slope (Grand Junction). Even if you don’t live in Colorado or can’t travel here for the live events, check out the online classes for great topics and instructors.

Thanks for keeping us informed. I have to check some of these out. Now, if you could possibly get rid of the blizzard we’re currently having, I’d really be grateful…

Margot and Alex, Colorado is a great place for writers. There are other conferences and workshops I haven’t even touched on, including one in Crested Butte in the mountains. Libraries and other businesses in Colorado feature local authors in big events and small panels and workshops.

Susan, I think Pikes Peak holds a “Write Brain” event every month in Colorado Springs and the one in May is on voice (May 20th). Look under events on the Pikes Peak Writers website (link above in the post). There are monthly programs in the Denver area from RMFW and also from Rocky Mountain Mystery Writers of America. And that Crested Butte Conference in the mountains is in June (http://www.crestedbuttewriters.org/conf.php)

My son is moving back to Colorado Springs in the middle of May. What might be happening in May and June?

Pat – Wow! What an ‘alive’ place for writers Colorado is. Thanks for sharing.

Meet Patricia

I read, I write, I blog, and sometimes I do the laundry and cook. My 2014 novel, Dead Wrong, was a finalist in the thriller category of the 2015 Colorado Book Awards. Wishing Caswell Dead (Five Star/Cengage, December 20, 2017) is a historical mystery set in 1830s Illinois in the fictitious Village of Sangamon. The novel was a finalist for the 2018 Colorado Book Awards for General Fiction. Read More…
