Looking Back on 2015 and Ahead to 2016

December 24, 2015 By: Patricia

I’ll be taking a real blogging break through January 3rd instead of the procrastinating inactivity I’ve been guilty of over the last few months. I finally feel as though I’m getting back on track after a year of unfortunate incidents and events, so I’m going to spend this time planning and organizing, continuing my knee surgery rehab, cleaning up a couple of unfinished projects, and squeezing in a bit of relaxation time.

I have one historical mystery under consideration by Five Star. Wish me luck on that, please. It’s a novel I’ve worked on for years and would love to finally see in print.

This new website/blog has been sorely neglected and still needs work on updates and refinements. I’m making that a break priority so hopefully I can finally abandon the old website.

I want to attend conferences and at least one mystery fan convention. I’d like to teach a class or two this  year. Get back out on the walking/bike trails with my camera now that I have a shiny new knee that works right. Finally visit the family members I’ve missed so much while I couldn’t travel. And just have an extra fine 2016 in general.

And write. I want and need to write.

So for now, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’ll see you on Monday, January 4th.

Have a wonderful Christmas, Pat! Enjoy your break, and I can’t wait to see what you’ll be sharing with us in 2015. I hope it’s a good year for you.

Meet Patricia

I read, I write, I blog, and sometimes I do the laundry and cook. My 2014 novel, Dead Wrong, was a finalist in the thriller category of the 2015 Colorado Book Awards. Wishing Caswell Dead (Five Star/Cengage, December 20, 2017) is a historical mystery set in 1830s Illinois in the fictitious Village of Sangamon. The novel was a finalist for the 2018 Colorado Book Awards for General Fiction. Read More…
