      She’s the boss, that’s for sure! She’s also getting a little better about posing for photographs. When I first started taking pictures of her, I usually just caught the tail as she ran by.

Wishing Caswell Dead (Five Star/Cengage, December 20, 2017) is a historical mystery set in 1830s Illinois in the fictitious Village of Sangamon.
